What AI interior design actually does

Most AI interior design tools repaint the whole picture: new windows, new floors, sometimes a different room. That looks impressive but is useless when you are deciding what to buy. Our designer is told to keep the camera angle, every wall, window, door, radiator and the floor exactly as they are, and to change only things you can carry in: furniture, rugs, curtains, lamps, plants, bedding, art and peel-and-stick wallpaper.

The result is a believable preview of your own room in a new style, plus a list of the pieces in it with links to similar products, so you can go from idea to cart in one sitting.

How to get a good AI interior design

  1. Shoot in daylight with the lights on. Dark photos give muddy results.
  2. Stand in a corner or doorway and hold the phone at chest height so two walls and some floor are visible.
  3. Clear obvious clutter (laundry, boxes). The AI keeps what it sees, including mess.
  4. Pick the room type that matches the photo, then a style. Try two styles on the same photo to compare.
  5. Open the shopping list and start with the biggest visual change: usually the rug, curtains or an accent wall.

Who it is for

  • Renters who cannot paint, drill or replace flooring, and want ideas that survive move-out inspection.
  • Anyone furnishing a new place who wants to see a style before spending on it.
  • People stuck on one room: a dull living room, a bedroom that never felt finished, a home office corner.

What it does not do

It does not move walls, add windows, change your floor plan or produce construction drawings, and it is not a substitute for a licensed designer or contractor. The images are AI-generated previews; real products, colors and sizes will differ.

Frequently asked questions

Is this AI interior design really free?

Yes. Your first 2 designs are free with no sign-up and no credit card. Free designs carry a small watermark; paid plans unlock HD downloads without it.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can upload a photo and get a design without logging in. We use an anonymous cookie to count your free designs.

Will it change my walls or windows?

It is instructed not to. Walls, windows, doors, radiators, ceiling and floor are kept; only furniture, textiles, lighting, plants, art and removable wallpaper change.

Which rooms work?

Bedrooms, living rooms, studio apartments, home offices, kitchens and bathrooms. Bedrooms and living rooms give the most dramatic results because they have the most furniture and textiles to restyle.

What happens to my photo?

It is used only to create your design and is deleted automatically after 7 days. Location data is stripped on upload.
